Motorola has scheduled a launch event on August 2 at Motorola’s HQ in Chicago, USA at 2 pm local time in which the company is expected to announce the Moto Z3 and the much-rumoured One Power smartphones.
Motorola has uploaded an 11 sec video to its YouTube channel (via The Verge) teasing the upcoming launch event to be held on the said date. The teaser, however, does not say anything about the devices to be unveiled at the event.
The company teases by saying that whole new ways to “connect, stream, download, video chat, and more” will be revealed on August 2. This hints that the company might announce the flagship device, but it could also be talking about the Android One smartphone.
Motorola launched Moto Z3 Play earlier this month but a little less is known for the Moto Z3 except it will be powered by Snapdragon 845 processor. It is also likely to come with dual rear cameras and new Moto Mods also.
The Moto One Power, on the other hand, recently leaked in live images showing dual rear cameras and iPhone X-like notch display. The smartphone is rumoured to feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a screen 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB.
On the camera front, the smartphone will feature dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.0 aperture. For the front, there will be an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video. It will be backed by a 3780mAh battery and it will run on Android 8.1 Oreo.
