Motorola has announced the launch of third generation Moto E. The new Moto E3 has been launched in the UK at Euro 99 or Rs 8,831 approximately. There is no information as of now about its launch in India.
The Moto E3 has a 5 inch HD display compared to 4.5 inch qHD display of its predecessor, Moto E2. It also offers an 8 megapixel camera, bumped up from a 5 megapixel unit of Moto E2. However, like its older sibling, the E3 has a quad core processor and 1 GB RAM. Besides, the Motorola Moto E3 has 2,800mAh battery, 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot for increased memory.
The Moto E3 has a splash proof body and a smudge resistant screen protector. It also has the latest Android Marshmallow operating system.
At above Rs 8,000, the Moto E3 may not be that successful in India as currently phones above this price offers as much as 3 GB RAM (2GB is common) and octa core processor. Also, similarly priced devices also offer full HD resolution, higher internal storage, better camera resolution and much bigger batteries.
