Moto X Play spotted with Android 7.0 Nougat

Moto X Play was launched last year with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Moto X Play which was launched in India last year in September has now been spotted on GFXBench benchmarking website with the Android Nougat operating system. This means that Motorola is perhaps testing the latest software and may release the same for the device soon. Note that the company has earlier announced to launch Android Nougat for the phone.

The specs in the GFX listing are the same which were revealed at the launch except, now it shows Android 7.0 Nougat in the Operating System. The device was originally launched with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system in 16 and 32 GB internal storage variants.

As per the listing on GFXBench, Moto X Play has a 5.5-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and 5 finger gesture support. It is powered by Snapdragon 615 1.7 GHz octa-core processor and 2GB RAM. The Moto X Play offers 16GB of internal storage out of which 11GB will be reserved for the users. Besides, it has Adreno-405 GPU and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Android Motorola Edition (user/test-keys).

Besides, the Moto X Play has a 21-megapixel autofocus camera and an LED flash in its rear panel while an 5-megapixel camera is in its front. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has accelerometer, gyroscope, light sensor and proximity sensor as well.

Just to recall, the Motorola Moto X Play comes with a 5.5 inch display that has full HD (1080p) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Both its models have micro SD card slot of 128 GB capacity. Motorola Moto X Play has the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and runs on the 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor.

It offers the Adreno 405 graphics processor, 2 GB RAM, 21 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The rear camera has f /2.0 aperture and offers Quick Capture, full HD video recording capability, slow motion video recording, 4X digital zoom, Auto HDR, and panorama features. There are two LED lights in the back panel as well. The smartphone offers dual SIM with 4G connectivity, dual band WiFi (a/b/g/n), WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 LE version, GPS with A-GPS, NFC, FM radio, and micro USB 2.0 port. It has a 3630 mAh non-removable battery.
