The Moto M which was launched yesterday in India for Rs 15,999 will be soon getting the latest Android Nougat update. The confirmation comes straight from the company’s official twitter handle.
The company yesterday tweeted “The phone is out there, and the nougat update will be out soon”. Which means that the company will definitely roll out the Android Nougat operating system in the coming time.
Just yesterday, Motorola rolled out Android Nougat update for its Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones in India. The Android Nougat brings in a bunch of new features including split-screen multi-tasking, more customisable quick settings, better battery life, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window. Further, the latest Android OS version also brings in ‘Double Tap’ on the Recent button to switch between the two most recent apps which comes in very handy at times. For extended battery life, Android Nougat comes with ‘Doze on the go’ which will get activated even if your Nougat running device is in your pocket.
The Moto M will be exclusively available through Flipkart at 11.59 p.m from today i.e 14th December. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, Moto M is powered by an Octa-Core 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio P15 CPU coupled with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. For the memory, the device comes in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage which will be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD. Unlike the other Moto devices, the Moto M will feature a fingerprint scanner at the back.
For Photography, the smartphone houses a 16-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDA, 1µm pixel size, full HD video recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and Auto-HDR paired with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. For the juice, the device will be powered by a 3050 mAh Li-Ion battery which will support Fast charging technology. Connectivity features of the device include dual sim 4G, VoLTE, GPS capability, Bluetooth NFC, USB Type-C. The device measures at 151.35×75.35×7.85mm and weighs at 163 grams.
