Moto G5 Plus to be exclusively available on Flipkart from 15th March

The smartphone is expected to launch on 15th March in India and will likely compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 or the much awaited Nokia 6.

After partnering with Amazon for last year’s Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, Lenovo has decided that this year it will opt Flipkart as their exclusive selling partner for their upcoming device Moto G5 Plus. The smartphone will be launched on 15th March in India and will likely compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 or the much awaited Nokia 6.

The Chinese handset manufacturer unveiled the device last month at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona. Lenovo priced the Moto G5 (2GB RAM and 32GB storage) at EUR 199, while 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option for Moto G5 Plus comes with a price tag of EUR 279. We don’t know the Indian Pricing yet but we expect Lenovo to price of the device similar to the Moto G4 Plus.

For the specifications, the Moto G5 Plus comes with a 5.2-inch full display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone comes in two options—2GB/32GB variant along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage model. There is also a card slot through which one can expand storage up to 128GB.

On the camera front, the device sports 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7, 1.4-micron pixels, dual AF pixels and LED flash. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone is backed by 3000mAh battery and support connectivity options like Wi-Fi, v4.2, NFC and port. The phone measures 150.2 x 74 x 9.7 mm and weighs 155 grams.

Meanwhile, we are not sure if the company will also launch the younger sibling, the regular Moto G5 at the event. Nevertheless, we will keep you updated as it happens.
