Moto G gets another rival: Gionee CTRL V5 launched for Rs 12,999

The phone has a 4.7 inch display, quad core processor, and an 8 megapixel rear camera.

Gionee has announced yet another quad core smartphone in India. Named as Gionee CTRL V5, this handset is priced at Rs 12,999 which makes it a direct competitor of the Moto G.

The Gionee CTRL V5 comes with a 4.7 inch IPS display with qHD (540×960 pixels) resolution. It is powered by Mediatek’s quad core and 1 RAM but it has the 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system . The V5 has decent 8 GB internal storage of which around 5 GB is expected to be available for users. Besides, there is an expandable storage slot that can accommodate a micro card of upto 32 GB.

It is a dual smartphone and supports connectivity as well. Besides, this 8.07 mm thick handset has an 1800 battery. The phone comes with an 8 rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. Besides, it has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM radio.
