Micromax has launched a new handset in its Smarty series. The new Smarty A30 is basically the 3G version of Micromax’s Smarty A25, which is also an Android smartphone but does not feature 3G.
Micromax A30 comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3 inch touch display, 832 MHz processor and 256 MB RAM. The phone has a 1500 mAh battery which for this size of phone is sufficient to give it a decent battery life. The phone has a 2 megapixel rear camera, however there is no front facing camera.
The phone has 2G, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth for data transfer. Other features of Smarty A30 include FM radio, 512 MB ROM, and 32 GB of expandable memory. The phone misses out on Proximity Sensor and GPS.
Micromax Smarty 3.0 A30 is priced at Rs 3,850 which is about Rs 600 costlier than the current price of Smarty A25. The phone is pitched against the likes of Intex Aqua 3.2, Lava Iris n320 and Karbonn A1+ in terms of price.
