Micromax has today announced the launch of new Evok series in India with the launch of Evok Note and Evok Power. The Evok Note comes with a price tag of Rs 9,499, while the Evok Power is available for Rs 6,999 and both the smartphones will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting midnight today.
To start with the elder sibling, the Evok Note boasts a metal design and comes loaded with 5.5-inch Full HD display, which is a welcome, especially considering this price point. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 5P Largan lens, while for the front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is juiced up by a 3950mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the device support, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Dual-SIM (hybrid) and microUSB port. The EvokNote also features fingerprint sensor at the front, which also acts as a home button. Further, the phone comes loaded with security application called Secure Space through which users can use their fingerprint to encrypt applications in their smartphone and create encrypted notes and shortcuts on their phones.
Moving on to Evok Power, the smartphone is direct competition to the Xiaomi Redmi 4A. The smartphone comes with a rubber grip around the body, which makes it durable. The device features 5-inch HD screen and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the device features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video calling.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is juiced by a whopping 4000mAh battery. The Evok Power support connectivity options like 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-SIM and microUSB port. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back panel.
