A new Micromax Canvas Fire series smartphone is expected to be launched soon as it has been listed on Micromax’s website. The new phone is named as Micromax Canvas Fire 6 and is the successor of the Canvas Fire 5 which was launched in India earlier this year at Rs 6,199.
The Micromax Canvas Fire 6 is armed with a 5 inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.0 GHz quad core Cortex A53 processor and 1 GB DDR3 RAM. The Canvas Fire 6 offers 8 GB of internal storage and has a 32 GB micro SD card slot as well. Micromax Canvas Fire 6 has a 3050 mAh battery that claims to offer a talk time of 27 hours and Standby time of 505 hours.
Canvas Fire 6 comes with a B-Bass Technology with 96db Loudspeaker and Amplifier that deliver a low Frequency 680 Hz sound output for superior audio quality. It has an 8-megapixel Autofocus rear camera and a 2 megapixel fixed focus front camera. The phone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Besides, it has Bluetooth, WiFi, Micro USB port, GPS, dual SIM, FM radio, and 4G/LTE. The smartphone measures 145 x 73 x 8.3 mm and weighs 155 grams.
Micromax has not revealed its price yet. To recall, its predecessor Micromax Canvas Fire 5 has front firing speakers and Auro 3D sound technology. The Android Marshmallow based Canvas Fire 5 has a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, an expandable storage slot for up to 64GB micro SD card, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera and a 5.5 inch HD IPS display. The phone has WiFi, dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G connectivity. The smartphone comes with the Gravity Calling feature that makes it easy for consumers to take the call from any side. It is powered by a 2500 mAh battery.
