Micromax Canvas 1 with Android Nougat launched at Rs 6,999

There is a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage

Micromax has today announced a new smartphone under its Canvas series with the launch of Canvas 1 smartphone. Priced at Rs 6,999, the smartphone comes in Matte Black and Chrome Black colours options and will be available across offline stores from today. It also comes with a 100-day replacement promise on any hardware issue (which is a part of the 1-year product warranty).

Jumping to the specifications, the device comes with a 5-inch 2.5 HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, there is a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD card.

On the camera front, you get an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. On the battery front, it is juiced up by a 2500mAH battery, which the company claims can offer up to 7 hours of talk time and 180 hours of standby time. The device runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and supports connectivity options like Wi-Fi, micro USB, 4G VoLTE, dual SIM, micro USB 2.0, 3.5 mm ear jack and Bluetooth. The handset measures 143 x 71 x 8.3mm and weighs 150 grammes.
