To take full advantage of this festive season, Micromax has announced discount of up to Rs 9,000 on its Canvas Sliver 5 and Canvas Knight 2 smartphones which are priced at Rs 18,999 and Rs 17,499 respectively.
The catch here is that you have to exchange your old smartphone while buying either of the two Micromax smartphones. Also the exchange offer is valid on any smartphone purchased at a value of Rs 20,000 and above or Micromax Canvas smartphones purchased at a value of Rs 15,000 and above, on or post 01 January 2014. Any other smartphone purchased between the value of INR 4,000 – INR 19,999 on or post 01 January 2014, will be offered Canvas Sliver 5 and Canvas Knight 2 at INR 11,999.
Also, the offer is applicable only for purchases done from an authorized dealer or retailer and is not applicable for online purchases. This offer is valid till 15th October 2015 in select cities in India.
So everything goes right, you could get the Sliver 5 for Rs 9,999 or the Canvas Knight 2 for Rs 8,499.
Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 is the slimmest device of the company measuring just 5.1 mm. It features a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. It has 16 GB of Internal Memory which cannot be expanded though.
Canvas Sliver 5 sports an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5 Megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Furthermore, the Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 has a 2000 mAh battery Li-Po battery which Micromax claims offer 8 hours of talktime and 345 hours of standby. On the connectivity front, the Canvas Sliver 5 offers 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
On the other hand, Micromax Canvas Knight 2 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 615 (1.5 GHz quad and 1.0 GHz quad) processor and 2 GB of RAM and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. It has 16 GB of internal memory which is further expandable by up-to 32GB via a microSD card.
Canvas Knight 2 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Micromax has armed the Canvas Knight 2 with a 2260mAh battery that claims to deliver up to 7 hours and 45 minutes of Talk time and 335 hours of standby time. The smartphone offers Dual SIM, 3G/4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
