If you are a cricket fan and are watching the ongoing IPL 7 matches, then you are certainly aware of this news already. Micromax has announced to launch its next phablet under its Doodle series, which is to be called as Doodle 3.
“A bigger Canvas is coming soon,” Micromax says in its teaser that shows a stylish pig showing its moves. Note that the first Doodle series handset, the Canvas Doodle A111, comes with a 5.3 inch screen. The second handset in the series, Doodle A240 Doodle 2, has a 5.7 inch screen. So this time we can expect a 6 or 6.1 inch screen based Doodle series handset.
Micromax has not revealed anything else till now about the Doodle 3 but according to a website, the Canvas Doodle 3 will come with a 6 inch screen with FWVGA resolution, 1.3 GHz dual core processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 32 GB expandable memory, 5 megapixel rear camera, 0.3 megapixel front camera, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 2500 mAh battery, and GPS.
The report further added that it carries a model number A102 and would be priced of Rs 8,500 to Rs 9,000.
Though the website even claimed to have got the original Doodle 3 box, it is quite hard to believe the next generation Canvas Doodle to have such lowly specs since the past two Doodle devices are still available above Rs 10,000 and are selling like hot cakes. Micromax had also impressed many with its latest smartphones, especially the Canvas Knight. So we definitely expect a much better Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 and certainly not the one that has been reported which if happens would be a big letdown.
