Meizu M5S which was recently spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency, TENAA has now been spotted on a GeekBench benchmarking website. Along with the TENAA certification, the Meizu M5S has also passed China Compulsory Certification (3C) earlier.
In the GeekBench listing, the Meizu M5S got 572 points in single-core test and in muli-core test it received 2481 points. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Meizu M5S has 2GB RAM and MediaTek MT6753 1.30 GHz octa-core processor. The handset is based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The specs revealed by the Geekbench listing are inline with the specs revealed earlier in TENAA listing.
Recently, Meizu 2017 roadmap leaked online which had revealed that the company is set to launch the Meizu M5s in February, however Meizu has not revealed the exact launch date of the M5S yet. However, since the smartphone has already received TENAA and 3C certifications, we expect it to be announced in the upcoming Mobile World Conference, MWC event next month scheduled to take place in Barcelona from 27 February to 2 March 2017.
On TENAA, the Meizu M5S was listed twice with two different model numbers – M612Q and M612M but share exactly same set of specifications on TENAA. Along with the TENAA certification, the Meizu M5S has also passed China Compulsory Certification (3C) with the same model numbers.
As per TENAA, both M612Q and M612M features a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixel and is powered 1.3GHz Octa-Core processor. Both the phones come in three variants – 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The internal storage in all the variants can be further expandable up-to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphones runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and are backed up by a 2930mAh battery.
Both smartphones sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Besides, the smartphones offer 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, a microUSB port, WiFi, GPS. The handsets measure 148.2 × 72.53 × 8.4 mm and weigh 138 grams. Further, as per listing, the smartphones will come in Silver, gray, gold and Rose Gold colour options.
