Oppo today announced the exclusive availability of the gilded version of Oppo R5, the 4.85 mm ultra-slim smartphone, in India.
“The Oppo R5 Gilded Limited Edition comes with a luxurious gold frame and will be available in the market from 20th February onwards at a price of Rs 29,990 till stocks last,” the company said in a press release.
“There are 10,000 units of the smartphone available globally. Oppo R5 Gilded Limited Edition defines luxury. The uber stylish gold frame adds a unique look to the smartphone and is sure to turn heads for its chic look. The smartphone is available across India only through pre-booking making it a special gift for special occasions,” it further added.

The original version was made available in January this year for pre-booking for Rs 29,990 as well but it is yet to hit the retail stores.
Oppo R5 has a dimension of 148.9 × 74.5 × 4.85 mm and weighs 155 grams. It is available in silver and gold colours. The R5 has a 5.2 inch AMOLED Display with full HD resolution. This Android KitKat based smartphone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, and 2 GB RAM. It has 16 GB of internal storage and a 2000 mAh Li-Po battery.
The Oppo R5 offers a 13 Megapixel rear auto focus camera with Sony Exmor BSI sensor with F/2.0 aperture. In the front, it has a 5 megapixel camera. This 4G smartphone has Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, WiFi Direct, Micro USB port, and GPS.
