LG Univa E510 with Android Gingerbread surfaces online

LG will release Optimus One P500 successor dubbed as LG Univa with Android 2.3.4.

LG is expected to release a new handset &#151 named LG Univa E510, with 2.3.4 Gingbread in couple of months. A website, which claims to have obtained an LG Univa handset, said that it comes with a 3.5 inch display and house a sub 1 GHz processor.

The website said nothing about the price of the handset but it is expected to be priced around at same $265 (Rs 12,000 approx.) to $300 (Rs 13,500 approx.) price range.

The LG Univa bearing model number LG-E510 features a decent 3.5 inch touchscreen display with 320×240 pixel support. Under the hood, the Univa packs an 800 processor couple with Adreno 200 graphics chip. This handset will have 512 memory which is good enough to run Gingerbread smoothly.

LG Univa will come with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread loaded and will have a 5 camera at the back. The back panel resembles pretty much like the one found in Samsung Galaxy S or Nexus S. LG has added 1500 battery to power the Univa handset for longer duration.

Since the LG Univa does not feature a front facing camera, making video calls will not be possible but the hardware specifications certainly promise good Gingerbread performance.

Though there is no fixed date of arrival, we expect this handset to be showcased at the CTIA: Enterprise and Applications on October 11 in San Diego, USA.
