LG’s upcoming Optimus Vu will come with a Q remote application which will extend the device’s functionality in to a full fledged remote control for controlling other devices such as air conditioners, televisions, set top boxes and many more such electronic devices.
The Q remote application will come embedded with functionality to control various household services with support for over 300 domestic as well as international brands. The Q remote will be launched next month by LG in Korea to begin thing with and following that the Q remote will also be made available to global customers as well in due course of time.
The Q remote mount will transform the LG Optimus Vu smartphone in to a remote control with full Infrared or IR transmitter to control most devices with greater ease.
In India, a similar application and accessory bundle was also launched by Tata Sky, a DTH service provider which had launched the combo for Apple iPhone users only allowing them to control Tata Sky DTH set top boxes with the help of the hardware and application combo.
