LG has introduced yet another Google Android based smartphone in its Optimus L-series lineup – L9. The new LG Optimus L9 smartphone will feature a 4.7-inch IPS panel touchscreen display and pack a dual-core mobile processor. LG has introduced a new user experiences which include the QTranslator feature that can perform simple scan to translate function for about 64 user languages and 44 foreign languages.
The new LG Optimus L9 will come with the L-Styling design and looks. Measuring about 9.1 mm thick, this Optimus L9 has a metallic rims at its side and modern square styling. The Optimus L9 has a 4.7-inch touchscreen IPS panel display which is big enough to read text, enjoy movies and also play games comfortably.
LG has also implemented its new Innovote UX (user experience) with several features and one of them is the QTranslator. Using the Optical Character Recognition technology, the QTranslator can read the text captured by device’s camera and then can translate it into the desired language. Besides, it has My Style Keypad function along with the new QMemo feature that allows taking notes or scribbling on the screen on the lock screen or anywhere in the user interface.
Under the 9.1mm chassis, it houses a dual-core 1 GHz mobile Processor with 1 GB RAM that is good enough to run the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. At the back lies a 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash and auto focus to click great images. There is a VGA camera in the front for video calls. For longer run time, LG has packed a 2150 mAh SiO+ battery.
The new Optimus L9 certainly looks like a good proposition for the mid-range segment. LG has not announced the pricing and availability for this handset.
