LG Optimus L9 gets Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update

LG has started pushing out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Optimus L9 smartphone starting off with Europe region.

LG has quietly pushed out a new update for its Optimus L series smartphone – Optimus L9. Then XDA Developer Forum carried a thread, listing eleven countries that have started receiving the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the LG Optimus L9. Mostly after the European Region, the update gets pushed out for the Asia region.

By default, the Optimus L-series styling clad L9 smartphone comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the fancy features of the Optimus 3.0 User Interface. Now the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is being pushed out to the Optimus L9 since it is top of the line offering from the company in its 2012 line up.

The LG Optimus L9 smartphone features a nice large 4.7-inch IPS display with 960×540 pixel resolution. It packs a dual-core TI OMAP 4430 mobile processor paired with 1 RAM and mere 4 GB on-board storage. It features a 5 megapixel camera with full 1080p capability and a VGA camera in the front. Featuring a 2150 battery, the LG Optimus L9 currently retails in India for approximately around Rs. 15,921 through online retailers.
