Lenovo is all set to launch Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m in India on October 21. Both the devices have humongous batteries and were unveiled last month at the IFA event in Berlin. Lenovo Vibe P1 has a 5000mAh battery while Lenovo Vibe P1m comes with 4000 mAh battery pack.
Lenovo Vibe P1 is internationally priced at $279 (approximately Rs 18,473) while Vibe P1m has a price tag of $159 (approximately Rs 10,528). The Indian pricing of both the devices will be announced at the time of launch.
This is not the first time that a handset player has launched a smartphone with 5000 mAh battery. In the recent past, Gionee has done that twice with its Marathon M4 and M3 smartphones.
As far as the specs are concerned, Lenovo Vibe P1 features a 5-5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with Gorillia Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 615 1.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.
Vibe P1 has an internal storage of 32 GB which is further expandable to 128 GB via a micro SD card. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. It has a 13 megapixel auto-focus rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera as well. This dual-SIM smartphone supports 4G, NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with AGPS/GLONASS. The handset measures 152.9 x 75.6 x 4.6-9.9 mm and weighs189 grams.
As seen in most the flagship smartphones launched recently, Vibe P1too has fingerprint scanner which is embedded in the Home button and can be used for unlocking the device similar to OnePlus 2 and Apple iPhone 6. The company has also claimed that if a user charges P1 for five minutes they can get 2.8 hours (168) of talk time if they switch off the data connectivity.
On the other hand, Lenovo Vibe P1m features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display. It is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735P 1GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It has 16 GB of in-built memory which is further expandable to 32GB via micro SD card. It too runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
In Vibe P1m, Lenovo has claimed that their Quick Charge option will enable a user to get 2 .45 hours (147 minutes) of talktime in just 15 minutes of charging and this smartphone has an advanced nano coating on top of it to prevent damage from accidental splashes and spills.
Lenovo Vibe P1m sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. This dual nano SIM smartphone supports 4G. The handset measures 141 x 71.8 x 9.3 mm and weighs148 grams.
