Lenovo K900 skyrockets the mobile benchmarks

Lenovo's new IdeaPhone K900 with dual-core Intel Atom processor ranks high in the mobile processor benchmark listing.

Lenovo had announced a 2 GHz Intel Atom housing IdeaPhone K900 handset at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in Las Vegas, USA. Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 is 6.9 mm thin and features 5.5-inch touchscreen display with 1080p pixel resolution. Noa TechAuthors blog has spotted the benchmarks of Lenovo K900 on the AnTuTu Benchmark listing app. We hope that the benchmark listing is original and some trickery, thus we take this information with a grain of salt.

Lenovo IdeaPhone features a 5.5-inch touch screen display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution natively. Under the 6.9 mm chassis, it houses a dual-core Intel Atom Clover Trail+ mobile processor with 2 GB RAM to power the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. At the back lies a 13 megapixel camera with dual flash.

The dual-core Intel Atom Clover Trail+ mobile processor is set to compete with the existing quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 based mobile processors due later this year. It would be interesting to see how Intel optimises the dual-core Intel Atom processors to stand head to head with the quad-core mobile processors.

Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 is expected to release post April in China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Russia and Philipines.
