Lenovo has announced the launch of the new K8 smartphone in India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 10,499 and it will be available from select retail stores across the country.
The smartphone sports a similar design language as we have seen in the K8 Plus expect from the fact that this one comes with a single camera setup. The smartphone sports a metal unibody and comes loaded with a dedicated Dual-SIM and microSD card slots. The Lenovo K8 sports a 5.2-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 Processor along with Mali T880 MP2 GPU.
The K8 is backed by a 3GB of RAM along with a 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable in nature. On the camera front, it supports 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and LED flash, while for the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back panel. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is juiced up by a 4000mAh battery, which the company boasts can last up to 2 days of normal use. On the connectivity front, the Lenovo K8 supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, dual-SIM, WiFi and Micro USB port.

Previously, the company introduced a special variant of the Lenovo K8 Plus at a price point of Rs 10,499. The new variant comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and it is available exclusively on Flipkart. The existing variant comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and is currently retailing at Rs 8,999. The smartphone will be available in Venom Black and Fine gold colour options.
