To cash in on the festive spirits, Lenovo today launched three smartphones in India. The new phones, namely Lenovo A6000 Shot, A1000 and K3 Note Music Edition, will be available in the last week of October in leading retail outlets across the country and are priced at Rs 9,999, 4,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively.
The Lenovo A1000 is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and has the Spreadtrum SC7731 Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor and 1 GB RAM. It offers 8 GB of internal memory, 32 GB micro SD card slot, 5 megapixel rear camera, 0.3 megapixel front camera, and a 2000 mAh Li-Po battery that claims to offer 9 hours of talktime and up to 12 days of standby on 3G networks.
The Lenovo A1000, which comes in black and white colours, has two SIM card slots – one for 3G and the other one for 2G. It has a 4 inch touchscreen with two point touch input and 480×800 pixels resolution. It has a dimension of 124.5*64*10.6 mm (height, width, thickness) and weighs 132 grams. The A1000 also offers FM radio, AGPS, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot and Bluetooth 2.1.
The Lenovo A6000 has a 5 inch display with high definition (720p) resolution. It too is based on the Android Lollipop operating system and runs on the Snapdragon 410 Chipset that offers a 64 bit quad core processor and Adreno 306 graphics processor. It offers 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and a 32 GB micro SD card slot. The A6000, which measures 70.5 x 8.4 x 140.9 mm, has two speakers and Dolby Atmos sound technology.
This dual SIM smartphone offers 4G connectivity, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, FM radio, AGPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 2300 mAh Li-Po battery which claims to offer up to 12 hours of talktime on both 3G and 4G networks (FDD). It weighs 130 grams.
There is not much information available about the Lenovo K3 Note right now. As per the press relese issued by the company, the K3 Note Music edition will be made available in limited quantity. It has an octa oore processor, 2GB RAM, 5.5 inch Full HD screen, 13 megapixel rear camera with Omnivision sensor and dual LED flash, and 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery.
A note feature of this handset is its sound technology. The K3 Note Music Edition has got ‘AnyWoofer technology’ which, as per Lenovo, packs enough power to turn any carton box into a sound amplifier!
Lenovo has also announced that it will open 50 more Exclusive Service Centers (ESCs) across the country by Diwali this year and more than 100 such centers by the middle of next year. Currently, Lenovo claims to have more than 350 service centers spread across India.
