Leaked Qualcomm roadmap hints Android Key Lime Pie in Spring 2013

Google Android's next version Key Lime Pie based devices are imminent at the end of the second quarter of this year.

Google could release the Key Lime Pie update in the second half of this year, suggested purported confidential Qualcomm documents which were leaked and published on the web.

The Google I/O 2013 conference, which is to be held in May, is expected to showcase the next major Android update dubbed as Key Lime Pie. This update running smartphones can be expected to arrive later this year by the end of the second quarter. The leaked Qualcomm documents also hinted two devices running Qualcomm’s new processors are expected in third quarter of this year.

These timeframes are based on the estimated schedule of the Key Lime Pie shared by Google with Qualcomm. That means we can expect Google to show off a couple of devices or the next Nexus smartphone at the Google I/O Conference.

In total, at least four devices running Qualcomm Snadragon processors can be expected in the second half of this year. Out of these four devices, one of them is most likely to be used in the next Nexus device with Key Lime Pie in the third quarter of this year. There are no further details on this product but we speculate that it might come with Snapdragon 800 series mobile processor.

Do note that we take this leaked information with a grain of salt for every release entirely depends on the release of Android Key Lime Pie update.
