Lava’s Intel Inside smartphone coming this week

Android based Xolo X900 smartphone has a 4.03 inch display, a single core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 mobile chip.

Indian handset player Lava, in the next couple of days, will launch an Android-based smartphone, to be called Xolo X900. It will be the first smartphone with Intel Atom Z2460 mobile to be launched in India.

“Lava Mobile will be launching Xolo X900 in this week and it will be priced around Rs 13,000,” sources familiar with the development said to The Mobile Indian.

Xolo X900 will feature a 4.03 inch touchscreen display, Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities, and micro-HDMI to output high quality videos. This smartphone might come with 2.3 Gingerbread with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update coming later.

Lava Mobiles will be the first smartphone make to bring the Xolo X900, which is powered by Intel’s Atom (Medfield). Xolo X900 will have a single core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology. This processor packs an array of technologies developed by Intel for faster performance with minimal possible compromise on battery life. An Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator on this handset will support all modern 3D graphics and high quality video playback.

On the camera front, Xolo X900 has an 8 rear camera which should ideally be able to record 1080p videos. This camera also features a burst mode, which will allow users to capture ten pictures within a second at 8 megapixel quality. There’s also a front facing camera for video calls or video chat.
