Lava International Limited has today announced the launch of its latest budget-centric smartphone with Android Oreo (Go Edition) in India. Known as Lava Z61, the phone comes with a price tag of Rs 5750 and it will be available in more than 80,000 retail stores across the country in Black and Gold colour options.
The company has introduced some launch offers with the latest smartphones. To start with, Reliance Jio users will get an instant cashback of Rs 2,200 with the purchase of the device. The cashback will be credited in the form of 44 cashback vouchers of Rs 50, which can be used for the recharge of Rs 198 and Rs 299 plans. These vouchers will be available inside the MyJio app. This offer is applicable to both existing and new Jio customers. The company is also offering one-time screen replacement on the latest smartphone, which is applicable till September 30, 2018.
Coming to the specifications part, the Lava Z61 features a 5.45-inch HD+ FullView display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The phone is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The company has revealed that it will introduce another variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage in August this year.
On the camera front, the phone features an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with Bokeh Mode. The device runs on Android Oreo (Go edition) for the 1GB RAM variant, while the 2GB RAM option runs on standard Android 8.1 Oreo. The Z61 is backed by a 3000mAh battery, which the brand claims can last up to 1.5 days with a single charge. On the connectivity front, it features Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, GPS, dual-SIM and micro USB port. The phone is 8.65mm thick.
