Lava today officially announced the launch of X10, its first smartphone with 3 GB RAM. The Lava X10, which was first spotted on Homeshop18 last week, is priced at Rs 11,500.
The Lava X10 comes with a 5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with high definition Resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It weighs just 133 gms and is 8mm thick. The handset comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, a 64 bit 1.3 GHz quad core processor, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and 32 GB expandable storage slot.
The dual SIM Lava Iris X10 is compatible with 4G networks. Note that though both the SIM slots are capable of holding 4G SIMs, only one SIM at a time will offer 4G connectivity. Besides, it has a 2900 mAh battery that claims to offer up to 15.3 hours of talktime.
In terms of camera, it sports a 13-megapixel rear shooter with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing ‘selfie’ shooter with 84 degree wide angle lens. “The device captures great images in all lighting conditions with F2.0 Aperture and 5P lens of the rear camera. Full HD video recording and playback is also supported. The camera also includes advanced features like PIP (Picture in Picture) and Live Photos. Live photo feature enables you to capture not only a still image but also a short video both before and after a still image is taken,” the company said in a press statement.
Commenting on the launch of Lava X10 smartphone, Navin Chawla, senior vice president and head – product, Lava said, “Lava X10 is our flagship in the X series of smartphones that stands for performance. Apart from 4G, other connectivity options on Lava X10 include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, OTG support and 3G capability. In terms of colour variants, the smartphone will be available in Icy White and Royal Black.
With the addition of X10, Lava now offers three 4G devices – X5 4G, Pixel V2 and X10.
