Lava releases Android Marshmallow update for Pixel V1

The latest Android version is known to enhance the battery performance of the devices and brings many other useful features.

Lava has released the 6.0 Marshmallow update for its Pixel V1 smartphone.

The latest Android version is known to enhance the battery performance of the devices. It will bring the Doze feature that automatically puts the device into a sleep state to increase standby battery life. Its new Standby prevents idle apps from consuming battery power.

The Android 6.0 will also bring more security features for Lava Pixel V1. Now apps designed for Android Marshmallow only ask for permission when it’s needed. Users can deny any permission and still continue to use the app.

The new Android version also brings a refreshed Google Now launcher that now offers search, fast alphabetic scrolling, and predictive app suggestions.

One of the noted features of Android Marshmallow is that it allows micro card storage to be converted as internal storage and thus allowing users to store their apps on SD card also. Otherwise you can choose to keep the SD card as external storage to keep your photos, musics, videos etc.

If you own Pixel V1, go to Settings->About Phone->System Updates->Check now for update.

Lava Pixel V1 is retailing these days for Rs 9,999. It has a 5.5 inch IPS display with high definition resolution (1280×720 pixels) and Asahi Dragon Trail Glass for protection against scratches. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor, Mali 400 MP2 graphics and 2 RAM.

The Lava Pixel V1 has an 8 camera which can capture images of 13 megapixel resolution through software enhancement. The rear camera has a 1.4 um BSI sensor, F2.0 and 5P lens. There is an flash in the rear panel as well. In the front of Lava Pixel V1 there is a 5 megapixel camera which, as per the company, can capture images in 8 megapixel resolution through software enhancements. It has a 1.4um BSI sensor, F2.4 aperture and 4P lens.

The Pixel V1 has dual offering 3G, 4.0, micro USB 2.0 port, WiFi (b/g/n) and GPG with A-GPSsupport. It has a decent 2650 mAh Li-Po battery. The phone has 32 GB and has a 32 GB expandable memory slot as well.
