The Chinese fabless semiconductor company, Spreadtrum Communications today announced that the first 4G-enabled feature phone from Lava will come with its SC9820 chipset inside. Lava Connect M1 comes with a 2.4-inch display coupled with 1750 mAh battery inside.
The feature phone is powered by Spreadtrum’s 28nm 1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex™-A7 LTE platform SC9820 which supports VoLTE and dual SIM function. It comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. We have a VGA camera at the back and comes pre-installed with Facebook Lite
Explaining a little more about the new 28nm chipset, Spreadtrum SC9820 integrates 1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex™-A7 processor, ARM Mali-400 MP1 GPU for 3D graphics acceleration and supports TDD-LTE, FDD-LTE, GSM modes and GPRS connectivity.
