Design
The Karbonn Titanium S205 is a good looking phone from the front, with a stylish metal finish. As yet, no information or images are available of the sides or the rear, and we don’t even have the dimensions or weight.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime is not dissimilar to the Redmi 1s in terms of looks. It is by far more refined version of its elder sibling, which is not a bad thing. It has matte finish back panel and thus it is not slippery. The phone measures 134 x 67.2 x 9.4 mm and tips the scales at 133 grams.
On the face of it, the Karbonn Titanium S205 is the better looking phone.
Display
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime has a 4.7 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and has Corning Gorilla Glass 2. While the Karbonn Titanium S205 has a 5 inch HD IPS screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 and has Asahi Dragontrail Glass for protection.
The larger display makes the Karbonn Titanium S205 the winner of this round.
Processor & Memory
The Karbonn Titanium S205 has a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, which runs with 2 GB of RAM. Its internal storage stands at 16 GB, to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime has a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 Processor which runs with 2 GB of RAM. The Prime also offers 16 GB of built in memory which can be expanded by up to 32 GB via a microSD card.
Software
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime runs on Android KitKat but has the latest MIUI 6.0. On the other hand, Karbonn Titanium S205 runs on Android Lollipop.
Battery
Both, the Karbonn Titanium S205 and the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime have 2200 mAh batteries and considering that both the phones have quad core processor and almost similar sized displays, they are likely to offer more or less similar battery back up.
