Indian handset manufacturer, Lava has released another budget smartphone called Iris 500. The handset has just been listed on Lava’s official website for Rs 5,499.
The specification sheet though does not have much to attract users. It has a 5 inch IPS display with 854×480 pixels Resolution while few of its competitors offer high definition resolution. The phone though is based on Android Kitkat operating system but it has a 1.3 GHz dual core processor and 512 MB RAM while many others have quad core processor and 1 GB RAM. Thankfully, it has the Android KitKat operating system.
In terms of camera quality, the Iris 500 does not enthuse either as it has a 5 Megapixel fixed focus rear camera and a VGA front camera. It has an 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery; strangely, the official page claims only 4.5 hours of standby with single SIM (I guess it is a typo and probably them meant talktime of 4.5 hours but it is still on the lower side for any phone).
This dual SIM handset offers 3G connectivity, 4 GB internal storage, and 32 GB micro SD card slot. Besides, the Lava Iris 500 offers WiFi, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth 4.0.
