Intex, which has so far made decent handsets but never could make an impact in the market, has announced a new handset that will definitely create a ripple in the budget handset market. This is because, at Rs 8,444, the new Intex Aqua Power becomes the second cheapest octa core smartphone as of now. Not only that the smartphone comes with a huge 4000 mAh battery and is even upgradable to the latest Android version – Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Intex Aqua Power has a 5 inch IPS display. Though Intex has not mentioned its Resolution but according to a website, it offers 480×854 pixels resolution. The handset has a 1.4 GHz octa core MT6592M processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM, and a expandable storage slot for a 32 GB micro SD card.
Besides, the Intex Aqua Power offers 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. It has a huge 4000 mAh battery which as per the company offers 18 hours of 3G and 30 hours of 2G talktime. Notably, the phone can also work as a power bank so via a charging cable you can charge your other devices using this smartphone. It has also OTG support for expanding its storage via pen drives.
The Intex Aqua Power, which comes in white, black, blue, and grey colours, has WiFi, Bluetooth, dual SIM with 3G capability.
Another Intex octa core phone, named as Intex Aqua Amaze, was recently launched for Rs 10,490. Currently, the WickedLeak Wammy Neo at Rs 7,990 is the cheapest octa core handset.
