Huawei has added a new member to its Y-series with the launch of Y5 Prime (2018) smartphone. The smartphone is now listed on Huawei’s official website, however, there is no information on its price and availability. The device is available in Black, Blue and gold colour options.
The Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Processor (Snapdragon 450 likely). It is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded upto 256GB via micro SD card slot.
On the camera front, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash, while on the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The device lacks the fingerprint sensor, it instead features the facial recognition feature.
The Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1. The device is juiced by a 3020mAh battery and support connectivity options like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, micro USB port and Dual-SIM support. The phone measures 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.3mm and weighs 142 grams. Sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
