Chinese technology giant Huawei is aggressively pushing Artificial Intelligence capabilities in India as its readying up to provide users with a seamless and convenient online shopping experience through the upcoming launch of the Nova series of smartphones. Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) India has today announced the ‘Huawei AI Shopping’ feature that will enable an immersive and seamless online shopping experience with the launch of the Huawei nova series in India. The AI shopping feature is also available on the Huawei P20 Pro through an OTA update.

The latest offerings from Huawei India will ensure the ultimate shopping experience, coupled with other new exciting features that eases users into embracing the AI-enhanced life.
Huawei acknowledges a study conducted by ASSOCHAM-Resurgent which says that close to 20 million people are expected to go online for shopping and mobile phones are the most sought-after product when it comes shopping online. Huawei India will thus be making the most of AI by allowing users to search for a product by clicking its image and get it ordered through Amazon.
To use the newest feature, Huawei Nova users will only need to point their smartphone camera to the object in question and tap on the shopping icon. Upon doing so, the inbuilt AI will search for a similar item or an alternate on Amazon, thus letting you shop with convenience. Not just that, Nova 3 will also be able to conduct local queries using various definitions. With AI Smart gallery, users will be able to view their photos under different categories based on sports, romantic moments, gatherings.
Commenting on the new features, ahead of the launch, Allen Wang, VP, Product, Huawei Consumer Business Group, India said, “Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at Huawei and India is one of our most important markets globally.
