Huawei is all set to launch MediaPad M2 10.0 in United States in coming days, as the company has reportedly got the necessary approval from Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable in the US. The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 was showcased in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 recently.
The tablet, bearing an aluminium alloy metal unibody design, comes with a sandblasted finish and also houses four Harman/Kardon speakers on the front to deliver excellent surround sound.
The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 features a 10.1-inch Full HD (1200 x 1920 pixel) IPS display. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Kirin 930 processor and packs a huge 6600 mAH battery. The tablet comes with two storage options, one with 2GB with 16GB internal storage and the other with 3GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. The 2 GB version is available in silver color while the other one comes in gold color. Both the models also offer expandable storage slot of 128GB capacity. The MediaPad M2 10.0 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and has Huawei’s customised EMUI 3.1 user interface.
The tablet sports a 13-megapixel camera and an LED flash in its rear panel while a 5-megapixel camera is in its front. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It has a fingerprint sensor. The gold color model of the table comes with an Active stylus (M-Pen).
The silver colour model’s WiFi version has a price tag of $349 (Rs 23,744 approximately), while its LTE version is priced at $399 (Rs 27,145 approximately). On the other hand, the golden colour model of MediaPad M2 is priced at $419 (Rs 28,506 approximately) and $469 (Rs 31,908 approximately) for the WiFi and LTE models respectively.
