Earlier we reported that Huawei Mate 10 is expected to launch sometime in October at the time when Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 8. Now the launch date has been revealed and the Huawei Mate 10 is all set to launch at an event to be held in Munich, Germany on October 16, as per a report of GSMArena. As per the report, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite will also be launched alongside the Mate 10 at the event. The Huawei Mate 10 is the successor of Huawei Mate 9 which was launched last year.
The Huawei Mate 10 will be priced at PLN4,000 which is approximately Rs 70,754 while the Huawei Mate 10 Lite will be priced at PLN 1,999 which is approximately Rs 35,358, as per the report.
Recently Huawei CEO Richard Yu confirmed that Huawei Mate 10 will feature more advanced specifications and will boast a full-screen hinting at a bezel-less display. He also said that the Mate 10 would have longer battery life with quicker charging speed as well as better photographing capability as compared to Apple’s next iPhone. We can expect Huawei to bring only mid-range and high-end Huawei smartphones as Yu said that Huawei will be giving up on the low-end of the smartphone market.
As per earlier reports, Mate 10 will come with a bezel-less 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 having a 2160×1080 px resolution (4K). Also, the fingerprint scanner is reported to be placed in the front, right below its display panel. It will be powered by a 10nm HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, so it is expected to deliver performance equivalent to Snapdragon’s 835.
Currently, Only Samsung and LG are using this type of bezel-less display on their flagship but after this, it seems that Huawei will be joining this list pretty soon. Also, currently, the last’s year Mate is using a conventional 16:9 5.9 inch display. So, this shift will actually make the device much slimmer and longer. Also, according to some more reports, Huawei Mate 10 may come loaded with AR capabilities as it is expected to come with 3D Dual Sensing camera.
