Huawei has announced a new fitness tracker, which looks more like a smartwatch, along with Huawei Mate 9 yesterday. The fitness tracker is called Huawei Fit and it is priced at $129.99 (approximately Rs 8,700) in the US and EUR 149 (approximately Rs 11,000) in Europe. The Huawei Fit is available for sale in the US while it will be available in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Portugal later on.
Just like any other smartwatch, Huawei Fit can display alerts and notifications from your smartphone. It features a 1.04-inch circular screen with a Resolution of 208 x 208 pixels. It comes with IP68 certification making it water and dust resistant. It can be paired with Android and iOS based devices.The fit is powered by 256 KB RAM, 1 MB internal storage and 16 MB of flash storage.
Huawei Fit only weighs around 35 grams and measures 246.5mm x 39.4mm x 9.9mm. Huawei has also given an 80 mAh battery which the company claims can last up to 6 days and takes less than 2 hours to fully charge. Regarding connectivity and sensors, the smartwatch comes with Bluetooth 4.2 and also sports a 6-axis accelerometer, gyro + accelerometer, heart rate monitor, wear sensor and ambient light sensor.
Although the Fit does not include a GPS under its hood, it can sync with Huawei’s Wear application, which is available on both the Android and iOS platforms. Moreover, the fitness tracker is capable of tracking when you are walking, running,or sleeping, it can also measure step counts, distances, calories burned, as well as the duration of sleep.
The Huawei Fit comes in Titanium Gray and Moonlight Silver colour variants while the bands come in Black, Orange and Blue colour options.
