Huawei Honor 6X which turned quite a few heads back in January, when it was launched, will not get you an extra Rs 1500 discount on exchanging your old smartphone if you buy the device tomorrow i.e. 8th April. Swag Day, as the company calls, will take place tomorrow on Amazon India. Further, after tomorrow till April end, customers will be able to avail Rs 1000 additional discount on the exchange of your smartphone.
Honor explains in the press release – If a consumer wants to buy the Honor 6X on April 08, and his/her existing smartphone is valued at INR 5,000, then under this offer, the total discount the consumer will get is INR 6,500 (INR 5,000 the value of his phone + INR 1,500 the additional SWAG day exchange offer). The Honor 6X is available for INR 12,999 & INR 15,999 for the 3GB/32GB & 4GB/64GB variants respectively. For any other day in April, consumers will get an additional of INR 1000, for the exchange value of his/her phone.
Talking about the specifications, Honor 6X was indeed a solid handset in the price range of Rs 15,000. The main USP of the device is the dual-camera setup at the back. The device features a combination of a 12-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. The set up comes with phase detection Autofocus (PDAF), LED flash etc. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies.
Apart from the camera, Honor 6X runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI v4.1 on top, however, it will be soon updated to Android Nougat with EMUI 5.0 on top. Other than that, it comes with a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass protection. On the inside, the device is powered by a Kirin 655 octa-core (4 cores at 2.1GHz + 4 cores at 1.7GHz) chipset with Mali-T830MP2 GPU paired with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage or 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. In both the cases, the internal storage is expandable via microSD card. There is 3340 mAh battery inside and the smartphone also offers 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, Compass etc.
The 3GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 12,999, while for 4GB RAM variant one has to pay Rs 15,999.
