Huawei Honor 7 gets Android Marshmallow ahead of schedule

Huawei Honor 7 was earlier expected to get the Android M update in January 2016.

As promised, Honor has released the latest Marshmallow update for its flagship smartphone, the Honor 7. Infact, the company has released the update a bit earlier – the update was expected to come in January 2016.

As per reports, to get the update you have to first register for the update by providing your device’s number. Post registration, within 24-48 hours, you will get the Android L update which is expected to improve the phone’s battery life.

The company has also promised to release the Android M update for its Honor 6Plus, Honor 6 and Honor 4X by March 2016.

Honor 7 is one of the best phones under Rs 25,000 and with the new update, its appeal will further increase for sure. It has a 5.2-inch display with full high definition and it comes preinstalled with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with Huawei’s Emotion 3.1 user interface on top of it. The Honor 7 has the Kirin 935 that has a 64-bit octa core processor with maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz. Plus it has 3GB RAM and comes in 16 and 64 GB internal storage variants. Both the variants have an expandable storage slot of 128 GB capacity.
