Huawei brings two Android smartphones, a tab to India with cloud support

All the three devices come with a 3GB download for three months with Aircel.

Huawei today announced the launch of its cloud services in India with the launch of its MediaPad tablet and two other smartphones with operating system.

All the three devices come with a 3GB download for three months with Aircel and will be available pan India across multiple outlets covering general retail, online stores and large format retailers.

Commenting on the launch, Anand Narang, marketing director at Huawei, said, “We have found that while smartphone being better than feature phones but still they have limitations. That is where our cloud+ service offering 16 net drive, integrated social phonebook, richer and phone finder services will make our cloud phone smarter than the existing smartphones.”

Huawei MediaPad

Huawei’s MediaPad is a 7 inch tablet with Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system powered by a 1.2 Ghz dual core Qualcomm processor. The tablet measures just 10.5 mms and weighs 390 gm.

The WXGA (1280×800) display is made of an IPS screen which is said to be better than the TFT variants and are also used in iPhone4. The display is thus capable of producing pictures at 217 pixels per inch, which the company claims as highest in the industry.

Besides, the tab has a 1.3 front facing camera, 5 megapixel auto focus rear camera, which are able to record videos. It has a 4100 battery as well that is expected to provide a decent performance. For connectivity, it has HDMI output, HSPA, WiFi, GPS, and AGPS. “MediaPad supports PC like we browsing with Flash 10.3 support as well,” the company said.

Huawei’s MediaPad is priced at Rs 28,359.

Huawei Sonic

It comes with a 3.5 inch capacitive multi-touch display with Android v 2.3 Gingerbread, and is priced at Rs 9,210. It offers multiple like accelerometer, proximity, ambient light and compass sensor for better browsing, gaming and enhanced better conservation.

Besides Sonic has 512 on board storage, 20 GB additional storage, and 1400 mAh battery. Huawei is providing a 4 GB card along with the phone. The handset comes with noise cancellation with dual-mic and has pre-loaded apps like Atom for payments and bookings, Astute online TV, and Bollywoodji.

Huawei Ideos X3

Ideos X3, which is just 12.3 mm slim, comes with Huawei’s new 3D user interface. Besides the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, the smartphone features Google Maps, Google Talk, Gmail, YouTube, dual cameras (3.2 and VGA), 3.2 inch screen, and WiFi.
It has 512 MB on-board storage and 20 GB additional storage.

Ideos X3 is priced at Rs 10,229.
