Huawei Ascend Y200 to cost Rs 7,000

Huawei is all set to launch its Ascend Y200 and G300 with price tag of approximately Rs 7,000 and Rs 10,500 respectively.

As The Mobile Indian reported earlier, Huawei is set to bring two more Ascend series smartphones to India this week itself. Named Ascend Y200 and Ascend G300, the phones will be priced at approximately Rs 7,000 and Rs 10,500 respectively, the Chinese mobile phone brand told The Mobile Indian exclusively.

Both the phones are from the entry level Y (Youth) and G (Gold) series, while there will be multiple phones in these series but for now Huawei will launch these two phones only.

“Both the phones will be attractively priced and will be cheaper than similar offerings from other MNC brands but yet offer a lot of features and very attractive specification. We expect these phones to sell for Rs 7000 and Rs 10,500 approximately (the MRP will be higher),” a Huawei spokesperson told ‘The Mobile Indian’.

Huawei Ascend Y200 is based on 2.3 operating system and comes with an 800 Mhz Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon Cortex-A5 processor. It has also an Aderno 200 graphics processing unit with 256 RAM.

There is a 3.15 primary camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB port, upto 32GB of expandable memory slot, 1250 battery in the Ascend Y200 which comes in a 3.5 inch touchscreen. Looking at the specification, it can be assumed to be priced around Rs 10,000 mark.

The Huawei Ascend G300 is the big brother of the former. It too comes with Android 2.3 but has a 1 Ghz processor, 512 MB RAM, 4 inch display and a 5 megapixel camera. It too has Bluetooth, WiFi, micro USB port for connectivity.
