HTC has launched its new smartphone in Taiwan today, named as HTC U19e and HTC Desire 19+. The smartphone is priced at TWD 14,900 (approx. Rs 32,945) and will go on sale starting tomorrow. The HTC U19e has two colour options – Extraordinary Purple and Modest Green.
HTC U19e features a 6-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2160 pixels) with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes equipped with Snapdragon 710 Processor along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal storage.
For the optics, it has a dual rear camera setup with 20-megapixel as a primary sensor withf /2.6 Aperture and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with f / 1.8 apertures along withDouble LED fill light. The rear camera features includeTimer up to 10 seconds, AI artificial intelligence for enhancing the camera, Face detection, Automatic HDR, Instant portrait skin model, Panorama mode, Slow motion mode, Pro manual mode, 4K video recording, Image photo (recording and taking photos at the same time), AR map.
On the front as well, the HTC U19e carries dual camera setup with a 24-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor with Iris recognition unlock. The Front camera features includeBeauty mode, Instant portrait mode, Self-timer timer up to 10 seconds, Automatic HDR, Full HD 1080p video, Face detection, Image photo (recording and taking photos at the same time), and AR map.
It features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi Ultrasound. The back cover of the phone is designed with translucent water-repellent glass. Other Sensors include Ambient light sensor, Approach sensor, Gyro sensor, Dynamic gravity sensor, and Compass sensor.
The phone runs on Android Pie withHTC Senseand gets its power from a 3930mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 support. Connectivity features include Dual SIM, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, NFC, USB-C 3.1 with DisplayPort,Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou. The phone measures 156.5mm x 75.9mm x 8.0mm and weighs 180 grams.
