HTC U12 leaked render reveals bezel-less display and more

HTC U12 might feature a bezel-less 5.7-inch 4K display with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels.

HTC is reportedly working on a new smartphone dubbed as U12. The device has been subjected to various leaks in the past and the latest comes in the shape of leaked render that gives us a glimpse of the upcoming smartphone.

The leaked render was first spotted by SuggestPhone, and it reveals the front panel of the device. The first thing you will notice about the device is the fact that the smartphone will come with the latest 18:9 display, which has become a new trend in the smartphone market. One can see a single front-facing at the top along with an earpiece. On the right, there is a power on/off button coupled with volume controls. The bands are present at the top and bottom of the display. There is no fingerprint sensor at the front, which means that it might be present at the back panel. Lastly, the smartphone could come with a USB port.

Interestingly, previous leaks suggest that the HTC U12 might come with a dual-camera setup. According to Chinese website ithome.com, the smartphone will feature a bezel-less 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. This would be interesting as Sony has already rolled out a bunch of smartphones that features 4K display, but it only works when a 4K content is played. Another important thing here is that you will not notice a major difference between a 4K screen or a Quad display, because of the small screen size of a smartphone.

The HTC U12 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and it will run on Oreo. It will be equipped with the 6GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal memory. Other than this, the smartphone might also come with a dual front camera setup for the selfie. Like many flagship devices, the HTC U12 is also expected to get rid of the 3.5mm jack, and there is a chance that the device might come with an all-glass back.
