HTC U11+ launched in India with 6-inch 18:9 display and Android Oreo

HTC U11+ will be exclusively available for sale via Flipkart starting February 7.

HTC has today launched it a new flagship HTC U11+ smartphone in India for Rs 56,990. HTC U11+ will be exclusively available for sale via Flipkart starting February 7.

HTC initially launched HTC U11+ along with U Life in November last year outside India. The smartphone was launched in Ceramic Black, Amazing Silver, and Translucent Black colour options. But in India, the company has only launched Amazing Silver variant of the phone. The brand will be launching a Ceramic Black edition of the handset in the near future.

The smartphone was launched outside in two storage variants one with 4GB of and 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. HTC has only launched 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage in India.

The HTC U11+ sports a bezel-less 6-inch Quad display with a screen resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is protected with 5. The phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and it comes in with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded via micro card slot.

On the imaging front, the U11+ features a 12-megapixel UltraPixel rear camera with aperture f/1.7, OIS, 1.4-micron pixel sensor, recording, UltraSpeed autofocus. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor with an 85-degree field of view, f/2.0 aperture. The phone runs on 8.0 Oreo with HTC Sense UI on top of it. The phone also comes with Sense feature, through which users can squeeze the phone to launch different features.

The phone is backed by a 3930mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and it also supports certification. On the connectivity front, the U11+ supports LTE, 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, GPS, and no jack. The smartphone also comes with IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The device measures 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5 mm and weighs 188 grams.
