HTC is planning to release the new Sense 5.5 user interface for its premium Google Android based devices in near future. Screenshots of the Sense 5.5 UI update were posted on the Android Revolution HD blog. These features were spotted in the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean build for the HTC One developers.
HTC has been quietly working on the HTC Sense 5.0 UI update alongside its new breed of devices. Just like the HTC Sense 4.5, the new Sense 5.5 would be an incremental update to bring couple of new features and several performance enhancing improvements. The leaked screenshots of the purported Sense 5.5 UI features were procured by enabling the hidden code in the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean build for the HTC One devices.
HTC Sense 5.5 update will bring the famous BlinkFeed feature that aggregates the web content to present it as snapshots on the home screen. BlinkFeed feature will be made available to other Android running HTC devices and best part is that the users will get the option to turn off the BlinkFeed. Users will also be able to add custom topics to the BlinkFeed.
The QuickSettings panel will now let the user re-arrange the content and settings panel. More emoticons and better keyboard are promised. The camera App also said to be getting a new Panorama and Dual Camera capture modes.
There is no confirmation or clarity on the arrival of the Sense 5.5 and we believe it can be expected once Google releases the Android 4.4 KitKat code.
HTC One users should expect the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update in a week or two from now.
