Google has announced the new Android 4.4 KitKat update and is rumored to introduce the same formally sometime late next month. Meanwhile, the handset makers are working to push the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for their premium devices. Jason Mackenzie, HTC president, shared over Twitter that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update roll out will commence for the One and One Dev Edition owners this week, starting from Canada region.
The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update was announced back in July and was made available for the devices offering Nexus experience. HTC has been working to integrate the latest Sense experience on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.
HTC like several other companies pushes out the updates region wise in order to avoid getting their download servers being hammered. HTC though has not clarified exact schedule for the update roll out in other regions.
