HTC is considering to release a Nexus variant of its HTC One smartphone for the US region only, according to a report of Geek.com.
Notably, at the Google I/O conference held recently, Google had also announced the new Galaxy S4 with Nexus experience for the US region.
HTC had worked closely with Google to launch the HTC Nexus One smartphone in January 2010. After that, Google has worked with Samsung and LG for the stock Android experience bundling Nexus devices.
With the recent announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S4 with Nexus Experience, HTC has got bit conscious despite of the HTC One Developer Edition with 64 GB storage space. Now the company is considering to release a Stock Android loaded HTC One with Nexus Experience.
This edition of smartphone will be limited only to US region but there is no clarity on when it would be introduced. Also there are no details on whether it will be sold through Google Play Store.
The HTC One features 4.7-inch full HD Super LCD 3 display powered by a quad-core 1.7 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 mobile processor with 2 GB RAM. This smartphone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with a layer of Sense 5 User Interface on it. The HTC One features a new Ultrapixel technology clad 4 megapixel image sensor at the back and has a 2300 mAh non-removable battery to power the smartphone. Currently, HTC One is being sold in India for around Rs. 42,000 approximately.
