HTC will extend its Desire smartphone series with a new model -Desire X. Bearing a design mix of the Wildfire S and One X, the new Desire X is the same smartphone previously leaked as the HTC Proto. PocketNow spotted the HTC Desire X listing along with detailed specifications.
The Mobile Indian reported about the HTC Proto smartphone in works to succeed the HTC One V smartphone. Now the details flow that Proto will be introduced as HTC Desire X and will be slotted as mid-range device.
The Desire X will feature 4-inch touchscreen Super LCD display with 480×800 pixel resolution. HTC has added a dual-core 1 GHz mobile processor with 768 MB RAM and with 4 GB ROM for on-board storage. Like the One Series devices, the Desire X will also feature 25 GB free storage for two years.
At the back, this smartphone will have a modest 5 Megapixel camera with auto-focus, LED Flash and will feature new HTC ImageChip for clearer and sharper images. There is no mention of the front facing camera. This smartphone will also feature Beats Audio styling and house a 1650 mAh non-removable battery for longer run time.
