Putting an end to all speculations, HTC has officially announced the launch of its One M8 (16 GB) in India for Rs 49,900. This flagship smartphone of HTC will hit the Indian retail market in the first week of next month, i.e. May. HTC has also announced the launch of an affordable handset in the Desire series, called HTC Desire 210. The HTC Desire 210 is priced at Rs 8,700 and will the retail market towards the end of this month. There is no news as of now about the 32 GB variant of HTC One M8.
HTC One M8 Specs:
The HTC One M8 comes with a 5 inch display with full HD resolution. This 9.35mm thick handset weighs 160 grams. It is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 801 quad core processor, 2 GB RAM, and the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.
The HTC One M8 comes with two 4 Megapixel rear cameras touting the UltraPixel camera technology and the latest HTC ImageSense Chip to power the imaging. The camera offers same set of features as the HTC One yet faster capturing experience and some fancy image editing effects. There is a 3D effect mode which allows the user to tilt the captured to certain degrees as well. Of course, the high quality full HD video recording is included. It has a 5 megapixel front camera as well.
Besides, the One M8 offers 2600 mAh Li-Po battery, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, and an expandable memory slot that can accommodate a micro SD card of upto 128 GB capacity. It comes in 16 and 32 GB variants and has a single SIM slot only.
HTC Desire 210:
This affordable handset comes with dual SIM slot. Besides, it has a 1 GHz dual core Mediatek processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 5 megapixel rear camera, a 0.3 megapixel front camera, 1300 mAh battery, and a 4 inch display. The HTC Desire 210 has 4 GB internal storage, 512 MB RAM, and 32 GB expandable storage slot. This dual SIM smartphone has one regular and one micro SIM card slot.
