Honor View 20 gets its first update in India, brings 48MP AI Ultra Clarity Mode and more

Honor has started rolling out a new update to its latest Honor View 20 smartphone in India. The update brings a host of interesting features, bug fixes and improvements.

The update is about 342MB in size and it comes with version number 9.0.1.128. The major highlight of the update is that it brings the much-awaited 48MP UltraClarity mode to the camera app.

The mode basically enhances the photo using artificial intelligence and provide the best output with a 48-megapixel sensor. To use this mode, users can to the Camera app and tap the Settings menu present at the top right of the screen. Users need to tap on Resolution and select 48MP AI Ultra Clarity feature.

The update also optimises the camera performance in certain scenarios. The latest update also brings latest January security patch to the smartphone and adds new themes. It also improves system performance and stability of the device.

To recall, the major highlight of the smartphone is the new punch-hole design and 48-megapixel rear camera. Starting with the camera first, it is loaded with 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 960fps slow-motion video recording support, autofocus, AI HDR, and LED flash support. There’s a secondary 3D Time of Flight (ToF) sensor for 3D applications and mapping of objects. The phone features an AI-powered 25-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 and fixed focus support.

Honor View 20 is priced at Rs 37,999 for the 6GB and 128GB storage option, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 45,999. The phone will be available in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue colour options.

Honor View 20 comes loaded with a 6.4-inch Full All-View display with a 2310 x 1080 pixels resolution, 91.82 per cent screen-to-body ratio, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 382ppi pixel density. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Kirin 980 processor with 720 ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU. It also features a circular fingerprint sensor at the rear.
