Honor, a sub brand of Huawei, today launched two smartphones in India, namely Honor 5X and Honor Holly 2 Plus. The Honor Holly 2 Plus, the successor of Honor Holly which is available in India at Rs 5,999, is priced at Rs 8,499 while the Honor 5X has a price tag of Rs 12,999 and it will succeed the Honor 4X that is retailing in India for Rs 9,999.
Honor 5X will be available in three colors - gold, silver and grey, and Holly 2 Plus will be available in black, white and gold colors. The Honor 5X and Holly 2 Plus will be available for pre-orders at Flipkart and Amazon from 15:00 hours starting today. The sale of Honor 5X will commence from 1st February midnight and Holly 2 Plus from 15th February midnight with the exclusive partners.
Commenting on the launch, Allen Wang, president of consumer business group, Huawei India, said, â€œWe are extremely thrilled to launch our new powerful smartphones Honor 5X and Holly 2 Plus in India. These phones offer best-in-class features at an attractive price point which makes them the star performer in their segments.â€
Honor 5X is a dual-SIM phone. It has a hybrid tray that can hold two SIM cards or one SIM and a micro SD card of up to 128 GB capacity. The phone comes in a metal body and has a 5.5 inch full HD screen. As per the company, the phone comes with a premium aircraft grade metal that offers 5 layer heat sinks with copper shielding cover. It is powered by the 64 bit Snapdragon 616 octa core processor and 2 GB RAM.
The Honor 5X is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera and 5MP Front camera. It can record slow motion videos. The phone has a 3000 mAh battery which claims to last for approximately 10 hours. The Android 5.1 based Honor 5X has HUAWEI EMUI 3.1 Lite user interface. Besides, the 5X has 16GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 4.0, light sensor, proximity sensor, FM radio and WiFi Direct and a fingerprint sensor. It is compatible with Indian 4G networks.
Holly 2 Plus supports both 4G for both CDMA and WCDMA at the same time. The phone offers a 4000 mAH battery with a reverse charging facility and hence you can use this phone to charge other phones via Micro-B USB to Micro-B USB cable. The Holly 2 Plus has Dual-mic for noise cancellation. The Honor Holly 2 Plus offers a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. Besides, it has 16GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. A 64-bit quad core processor and 2GB RAM powers this phone.
Besides, the Honor Holly 2 Plus offers 5 inch HD display. This phone has dual SIM slot, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG features.
